BIG BOYS THINGZ: CHINESE BUSINESSMAN LIU YIQIAN BUYS ANCIENT VASE FOR $14. 71M

Interesting things you read online according to report Chinese businessman and taxi former driver, Liu Yiqian has splashed out $14.71m on an ancient vase at an auction which took place in Hong Kong. The simple octagonal piece is an 800-year-old Southern Song Dynasty work tinted milky blue.
The 51-year-old first broke the world auction record for Chinese porcelain in April, 2014 when he bought a Ming Dynasty wine cup known as the chicken cup for the sum of $36 million. Liu has also been pictured drinking tea with the wine cup. 
The businessman and financier is the chairman of investment company Sunline Group and one of China’s wealthiest men.
